It isn’t long until the new Call of Duty experience is upon us and what better way to celebrate than a Double XP week event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The event, which is running from October 25th until November 1st has been done in order to help players reach the highest possible levels of prestige so that they may unlock exclusive content in Call of Duty: Ghosts. 

The perks include six backgrounds which can be used in Call of Duty: Ghosts to show off your achievements. If you have played the previous two titles you will unlock two of these backgrounds. If you have prestiged at least once in both titles you will gain another two backgrounds and, if you have hit 10th prestige you will be able to grab the final two. 

Call of Duty: Ghosts is launching on November 5th for PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wiii. It will also be a launch title for the PS4 and Xbox One. Do you think this additional content is worth it? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
