Whilst some may not be aware, the age of piracy found in Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag is before Assassins Creed 3 in terms of historical context. This have obviously brought up the question as to where the series will go from here in terms of sequels. Rumors circulating seem to suggest that Ancient Egypt could be a location of interest for the series according to previous comments from Ashraf Ismail.
In an interview with o.canada.com Ambre Lizurey has also hinted, albeit cryptically, about the direction of the Assassins Creed series.
“I can say that we have always focused on history. There are a lot of different parts of the world and periods in history we can explore. I can’t say what we are thinking of but there are a lot of things we can do. It would be easy for us to go back in time if we wanted to”.
What works to Assassins Creed benefit is that the location of the world of assassins can always change, as so many settings could work perfectly with the themes of the game. Would you be interested in an Assassins Creed game based in Egypt? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
