Players of the Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City have been having issues after the removal of the controversial Games For Windows Live system. Much like Bioshock 2 before it, if players want to continue having access to their game they will need to register the game on Steam.
Those who already have the game on Steam don’t have to worry, the game will automatically update with a patch addressing the issue. On an unfortunate not for non-Steam gamers, when you re-download the game and boot it up, you will no longer be able to play old saves. You can find the full Steam update here.
Some gamers however are having trouble registering their copy on Steam, claiming that the key does not work. Reports of this are coming from both Europe and North America. We will update the story as more information is provided.
What do you think? Is this all part of the growing pains from moving away from Games For Windows Live, or could it be handled better? Let us know in the comments.
