Rapper Wants GTA V Recalled Over Alleged Stolen Music

Rapper Daz Dillinger, best known for his part in the rap duo known as Tha Dogg Pound, has gotten rather angry at Rockstar over the use of two songs in Grand Theft Auto V. Dillinger claims that Rockstar used the songs “C-Walk” and “Nothin But The Cavi Hit” even after he rejected their “offensively love offer of $4,271.00 for both songs“.

Dillinger is requesting that Rockstar either make him a better offer, or recall every unsold copy of the game and destroy them. Daz and his attorneys have given Rockstar 14 days to respond and told TMZ it is about “respecting an artist’s work. Rockstar didn’t do that here and I can’t let them get away with it”

There are many reasons why Rockstar may have still legally have used the songs without his permission, most likely that he wasn’t actually the owner of the songs copyright. In the possibility that an honest mistake was made, there is a very slim chance unsold copies will be recalled unlike when GTA: San Andreas was recalled due to the hidden “hot coffee” minigame.

What do you think? Do you think Daz is trying to make a fast buck or has Rockstar made a mistake? Let us know in the comments.
