Japanese Release Date For Final Fantasy X + X-2 HD This December

Many gamers introduction to Final Fantasy, and JRPG’s as a whole, came from the series leap to the PS2 in 2001 with Final Fantasy X. Not only did the leap to the next gen graphics blow people away, but also the first use of voice acting for Square’s landmark franchise. The long awaited HD update of the game has been on the cards since the announcement of the PS Vita. A release date has finally been given however, but only for Japan

Coming out December 26 this year, Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD will be coming to the PS3 and PS Vita. Announced by the Square-Enix store, Japan will be able to experience Spira all over again. Sadly poor westerners will have to wait, with the expected release date to be Q1 2014.
