Shuhei Yoshida, Sony’s President, has announced that a companion app for PS4 will be arriving on PS Vita during the next firmware update. Yoshida didn’t however mention when the next update would become available. The PS4 Link app will give users access to extra features related to PS4 titles. It will also allow users to purchase content online, keep up to date with friends and watch streaming gameplay from a linked console. The iOS and Android versions of the app will launch alongside the PS4 console next month, so it could be assumed that the Vita app will be made available around a similar time.
