Sony’s ever-friendly Shuhei Yoshida took to Twitter to answer user questions on the DualShock 4, and whether it will work with PC or not.
Yoshida confirmed that the DS4 will work on PC, but whether or not PCs will automatically recognize the controller remains to be seen, with Yoshida asking us to “wait for field report after the launch”. In response to whether or not the Playstation 4’s controller would work with Windows at all, he said it should work.
@Napo2k the analog sticks and buttons will work just fine

While it’s technically possible to use the DualShock 3 on Windows at the moment, it requires a lot of leg-work. Downloading unofficial third-party apps and potentially dodgy drivers to make the DS3 work with PCs likely proves to be too much hassle for some, so the news that the DualShock 4 would work natively with PC gaming comes as nice surprise.
It remains to be seen if Sony will release drivers or if games will properly recognize it as a DS4 and display a HUD accordingly.
What do you think? Is it a good option for the DualShock 4 to provide? Let us know in the comments below.
