Arma Tactics Released For PC Via Steam

Bohemia Interactive has announced that a new PC version of their highly successful mobile game, Arma Tactics, is now available for Windows. The title supports SteamPlay, so buying it on Windows will allow access to the upcoming Linux version (available from October 3rd) and the Mac version (Release date TBC).

Arma Tactics  is a turn-based strategy in which players manage a 4-man team through a series of missions, some of which feature randomly generated objectives. The game was originally released on select high-powered Android devices, and the Nvidia Shield, but today’s announcement should please fans of the series, which makes its home on the PC.

Of course, the game will see significant graphical upgrades from its mobile predecessor, such as higher-resolution textures, post-effects, highly detailed light maps, enhanced shaders and better shadows. Arma Tactics on PC will also include new controls optimized for a mouse & keyboard setup, and even game pad support.

The PC version will also include a new campaign, which will include new game mechanics, such as silenced weapons and mortar fire.
