Speaking in an interview with GamingBolt, Eric Biessman, the creative director at Raven Software – the developer behind Call of Duty: Ghost’s multiplayer mode – shed light on some of its customization options.
The increased effort that has been put into customization for the multiplayer mode comes due to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s similar features being well-received by the community. Biessman said,
“You can customize heads, arms, legs. There’re something like 20,000 different combinations based on the different pieces. And that’s purely visual, including the female characters. We know there’s plenty of female fans and we want to give them the opportunity to have this connection to their character like everyone else. So from a purely visual side, there’s that”.
Biessman was also quick to point out customization also extends to the gameplay, and that it will create a deep system for perks and perk selection.
“So, the idea of this is that there’s groups of perks, and they’re for speed and stealth and handling and awareness and resistance and equipment and Within these groups are specific perks. Each perk has a different cost, and you can choose how those work. So you can have a five point perk and a couple one point perks.”
It looks like Raven Software is doing everything they can to ensure that their portion of one of the year’s most anticipated games fulfills expectations. Call of Duty: Ghosts will launch this November on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and PC. How will you customize your character in-game? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
