According to a recent post on the Square Enix Blog, the background music quality in the PC release of Final Fantasy VII has been upgraded. Phil Elliott writes:
“I’m really pleased to be able to tell you that we’ve now released an update for the game that includes an audio upgrade. Whether you purchased the game direct from the Square Enix Store or via Steam, it will auto-update the next time you play. Thanks for the feedback, and also your patience – and we hope that you’ll enjoy the music fully from now on!”
