Koanmi is teaming up with the independent record label Sumthing Else Music Works to bring soundtrack albums for the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow games to consumers. The two companies have entered into a multiple-title licensing agreement to release the soundtracks on digital and disc.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was released in 2010, but saw a new release on PC earlier this year in the form of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition. The game featured an award-winning soundtrack performed by the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra.
Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow Ultimate Edition Soundtrack is aiming for a physical and digital release on October 29th, 2013 in both North American and Europe. The album will be available on both iTunes and Amazon MP3, as well as other music sites. An extended version of the album – entitled Castlevania: Lord of Shadow Director’s Cut – will include 20 previously unreleased tracks, and will be available exclusively from the label’s website, where you can currently pre-order the album and listen to previews.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and Mirror of Fate are also getting soundtrack releases. Mirror of Fate’s music will see a digital release on October 29th as well, followed by a disc release in November.
Lords of Shadow 2 will be getting an OST album following the game’s release in 2014.
