Valiant Hearts: The Great War, is expected to see a console release in 2014 following Ubisoft’s permission for the game to be produced.
Ubisoft Studio France’s IP development director Adrian Lacey commented that,
“We are extremely lucky. Our boss – our big boss – gives us the liberty to try new things. I was surprised: I did expect more resistance than we actually got. I think Paul Tumelaire’s art work and the creative visionary that works here opened it up straight away.”
Indeed many are surprised that the World War I drama, which sees the story line of several characters develop over one pinning issue that ties them all together got the clear go ahead from Ubisoft.
On the titles development Lacey had this to say;
“People understood it; people understood where it was going and I think that was a huge help. I think internally people were just like, ‘wow, it’s interesting – emotionally – it’s really adding value to games and it’s really giving a unique experience.”
No further details have been released about the game so far. Valian Hearts: The Great War is to release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next year.
