Holding the title for being the most crowd-funded project ever, big things are expected of Star Citizen. Cloud Imperium Games has big things planned, with new stretch goals continuously being churned out to give people incentives to keep throwing money at them, and it is working.

Reaching the mark of $20,000,000 isn’t an easy feat, and the number will be continue soaring ever upwards until the games eventual release, which is set for winter next year. The next stretch goal lays at the $21 mil mark, which will introduce the salvage mechanic with a slew of features. With a budget closer to a AAA game title, Star Citizen is already making industry history, and is set to make more in the coming year before release.
