Divinity: Original Sin Gets A Release Date

Divine Divinity isn’t the most catchy of names, but such was the name of the first title in the Divinity series. The kickstarter title, Divinity: Original Sin, will be the fifth game in a series strangely fascinated by dragons. When the game smashed its Kickstarter goal of $400,000, with a handsome sum of $944,282, Larion Studios had their work cut out for them as they worked on not only the same, but every stretch goal they had planned out.

Fives months down the line, Larian have announced the release date for the game. Revealed via a Kickstarter announcement, February 28 2014 is the expected release date for the game. This is a push back of several months as the additional content of the stretch goals are worked into the game. Backers with Alpha access should be able to try it out in November, with a Beta following in January. The announcement can be found here.

For those now overly familiar with Larian, the Divinity series, or their unique sense of humor, check out the video update that came with the Kickstarter update below:

Fans will also be able to take part in a live Q&A session on Twitch February 27 September at 10:00 PST/13:00 EST/17:00 CET. The sessions will be hosted on the studios channel, which can be found here.
