Warner Bros Games entry into the Batman: Arkham series seems true to form so far. It has the cape, the combat, and the vrogues-gallery, everything fans have come to expect. With Batman facing off against some of DC’s hardest villains, Warner Bros Games are making playing as the assassin Deathstroke a pre-order bonus, with gameplay being shown in the above trailer.
This has left a bitter taste in many fans mouths, but why? Is it that it’s a pre-order bonus? That he appears to be remarkably similar to Robin from the Batman: Arkham City DLC? Is it that the 1 vs 100 challenge just doesn’t seem fair? No, it’s because he doesn’t appear to use his signature sword or guns. Here are a few of the youtube comments to get a feel of what long-time Batman followers are on about:
“no firearms. no sword. no lethal moves. This does a disservice to deathstroke”
“what the hell deathstroke kills people hes an armed assassin you cant be serious!”
“No guns. No swords. No fun…”
“Im hoping that Deathstroke actually gets a sword and at least a handgun aswell… If not then this is a really big disappointment”
“So is he not gonna use his sword or what??”
Oh, dear. Batman: Arkham Origins is out October 25 on PS3, Xbox 360, WiiU and Windows.
What do you think? Is this a load of moaning over nothing, or would you like the chance to cap some fools in the Arkham-verse? Let us know in the comments.
