GTA Online May Include Microtransactions

GTA V has received massive success since it’s launch last week and with GTA Online launching next week things can only get better for the title. With the vast amount of things possible in GTA Online, money will be a thing that many will be trying to maintain a steady source of to enjoy all it has to offer. Recent rumors point to Rockstar being well aware of that fact and points to them having thought about the inclusiong of microtransactions.

According to a user on Reddit, opening the store section of Grand Theft Auto 5 in the pause menu reportedly results in the console requesting an XML file hosted on Rockstar’s site, which makes mention of a number of in-game “cash cards” available in denominations ranging from $100,000 to $1,250,000. This is accompanied by the following text; “Cash is king in this town. Solve your money problems and help get what you want across Los Santos and Blaine County with the purchase of cash packs for Grand Theft Auto Online. All purchased cash is automatically deposited into your character’s bank account. Spend wisely, cash therapy is fleeting.

This is only a rumor for now, but if anything comes of it, we at VGU will deffinately let you know.
