During a Tokyo Game Show demonstration Microsoft director Albert Penello confirmed that DVR video sharing will not be available outside of Xbox Live at launch. He did however promise that sharing via social networks would be available at some point next year.

The Xbox One’s DVR has already been confirmed to automatically record the last 5 minutes of gameplay aswell as recording 30fps at 720p resolution. The DVR will also require a Xbox Live Gold subscription to be used.
