Deep Down Will Be A Free-To-Play Game

Deep Down, Capcom’s PS4-exclusive action game, is going to be released as a free-to-play title when it launches next year. Sony’s Shushei Yoshida tweeted that Capcom had announced the game’s F2P ambiitions, and also confirmed that the game will see an open beta near the launch of the PS4 in Japan – which is currently set for February 2014.

Deep Down was unveiled by producer Yoshinori Ono at the Playstation Meeting back in February alongside the PS4’s original announcement. The game has since received significant appearances at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, during which it was confirmed that the game will be an online-only title, complete with multiplayer, and is set in the far future despite the medieval look.

Deep Down boasts random level and creature generation and could be an interesting title when it eventually arrives on PS4s.
