I AM ERROR.
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link was originally released in 1988 for the NES, as the direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda. Whereas the first game utilised a top-down perspective that would become the basis for later Zelda games, Zelda II is mostly a sidescroller, making it the black sheep of the franchise (unless you count those horrible CD-i games). However, its cult following should be pleased with the news that it’s making its way to the Nintendo Wii U eShop for $4.99 – and if you purchased the Wii version, you can upgrade for just $1 to the Wii U version with its off-TV play and its savestates.
