HeroCraft have revealed recently their licence partnership with Games Workshop that allows them to begin work on Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf, a turn-based tactical, free-to-play title.
The game will allow players to use the, “Space Wolves” team in various 3D battlefield environments. A card based system has been implemented within the game which will influence on-screen actions during the battle. A victory will lead to players gaining new weapons, bonuses and tactical cards for later use. Eventually players will be able to form a deck which represents the tactics and stratagems that you want to use.
Jon Gillard, Head of Licensing at Games Workshop has commented on Herocraft,
“Given that, their clear passion for the IP, and their experience in the market, we are only too happy to be working with them on this project.”
Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is now in development for iOS, Android and PC formats with a 2014 release being expected.
