The go to weapon of choice for pretty much anyone in Battlefield 3 was the M16A3, seen by many to be the most overpowered weapon in the competitive scene of the game.
This both beloved and deeply hated gun had near to no recoil and pinpoint accurate firing, perfect to wield and use in most situations by the new battlefield gamers to veterans looking to optimize their kits.
Yet this came at the cost of much grief for the community and now DICE has confirmed that they will now be removing the automatic rifle from the games multiplayer all together. The burst-fire variant, the M16A4 will still be in the mix for Battlefield 4 yet no full automatic option will be open to gamers.
It says something when a gun causes so much controversy that it is simply removed from the game instead of being nerfed or perhaps altered in order to avoid more complaints from the community.
