Microsoft have updated the project page for Xbox One wireless controllers with some interesting new information. Alongside all the known features having improved triggers and directional pad, the Xbox One wireless controller will work up to a maximum range of 30ft from the console it is paired with. The console will also support a maximum of 8 controllers connected to the device at once. This doubles the previous number of controllers supported by the Xbox 360.
This is an interesting decision on Microsoft’s behalf as not many games that we know of could support 8 controllers at once, meaning we may see a larger variety in multiplayer titles coming to the console.
What do you think of Microsoft’s incorporation of 8 controllers? Excited to see what titles will take advantage of this capability? Let us know what you think in the comments.
