Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG September 1st Forbidden/Limited List Changes

At 2am GMT Konami released the next Forbidden/Limited list for the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG players of the world to see. For those not in the know, the Forbidden/Limited list normally changes twice a year, once in March and once in September, usually only making changes to a few cards legality and it will usually be nearly identical to the list the OCG use. This September however Konami have decided to change everything for the TCG.

First up is the changes to the time a Forbidden/Limited list will run for, instead of next changing in March, this list will last until December 31st 2013. A 4 month list points towards plans of having 3 ban lists a year or just wanting to start a new sequence of lists from 2014’s start.

Next up is the part that players want to see the most, the changes for September to the Forbidden/Limited list. As I’m listing only the changes to the list, head to the official website to see the full list.

Forbidden (Can no longer be used)

Limited (Only 1 copy per deck)

Semi-limited (Only 2 copies per deck)

Unlimited (3 copies allowed in the deck)

The list shows a lot of changes and will impact competitive Yu-Gi-Oh a great deal, losing often used cards like Monster Reborn and Solemn Judgment. Players will have a lot of holes in their decks to find answers for.

What’s your thought’s on the September 1st Forbidden/Limited list? Any changes you like or not or did Konami miss a card in your opinion? Let us know in the comments.
