Mad Catz has announced today one of the first real next-gen hardware peripherals during Gamescom. The Force Feedback Racing Wheel is definitely a premium-level product, as it boasts a host of luxury features. Mad Catz developed the hardware with collaboration from Forza 5 developer Turn 10, and seem to have pulled out all the stops in producing something highly customisable. The wheel is full of technology, which is something Mad Catz were keen to outline in their press release:
“…the genuine suede leather steering wheel houses a raft of technology, such as twin next generation Force Feedback motors and a luxury CNC anodized aluminum wheel face which can be removed from the wheel base should gamers wish to replace or upgrade in the future.”
Well, that sounds like Mad Catz are committed to delivering something for hardcore driving fans. The wheel also includes fully adjustable pedals, allowing for a truly authentic driving experience. Mad Catz are not announcing a price just yet, but it seems the admirable “go big or go home” approach Mad Catz are taking here will lead to money well spent. The wheel is expected to launch around the same time as the Xbox One and Forza Motorsport 5 in November.
