Yesterday at Sony’s Gamescom 2013 conference, the PS4-maker announced a scheme to provide players who buy PS3 versions of PS4 games with the opportunity to purchase PS4 versions of said games at a “significantly reduced price”.
Today, Activision shared with the world what that price would be for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Owners of the PS3 version will be able to upgrade to the PS4 version of the game for $10/€10/£10. This offer only applies to to the digital PSN store download version of the game, and will only be available for a limited time.
Amazon and Gamestop will be offering their own alternative for Xbox console users, allowing for a similar upgrade system. Activision will, for a limited time, be offering players the ability to carry over all their Season pass content and in-game progress up to the next iteration of their console for no additional cost, so you can keep your quest to prestige going from, say, PS3 to PS4.
