The Humble Bundle has, in the past, been a way for indie developers to receive recognition and income for their talents. But today, EA is allowing players to pay what they want for some its biggest franchises. These games can all be unlocked on Origin, and a few of them can even be unlocked on Steam. You can pay what you want for the whole package, which is as follows:
- Dead Space
- Burnout Paradise: Ultimate Box
- Crysis 2: Maximum Edition
- Mirror’s Edge
- Dead Space 3 (Origin only)
- Medal Of Honor
If you pay more than the average price, which sits at $4.74 at time of writing, you’ll receive Origin codes for Battlefield 3 and the Sims 3 + Starter Pack. You’ll receive the soundtracks for Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3 even if you don’t pay above average, meaning you get a lot of bang for your bucks. But don’t be fooled, the bundle is not EA being greedy, it’s toward several worthwhile causes. Origin and EA are donating their share of the money raised from the sales of this bundle to five charities:
- Human Rights Campaign
- Watsi
- American Red Cross
- American Cancer Society
- San Francisco AIDS Foundation
The bundle has been sold over 800,000 times by the time of writing with 13 days still left to go. You can pick up the Humble Origin Bundle here. This is a great opportunity to pick up some great games for cheap that you might have missed, as well as support great causes. Will you be downloading the bundle?
