Xbox One Launch Markets Confirmed

Back at E3 2013 Microsoft unveiled that they were aiming to get the Xbox One released in 21 different countries before 2014. Today Microsoft have announced that the Xbox One will only actually be available in 13 countries before 2014.

The now more realistic number of countries has been reduced to include:

  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Brazil
  • Canada
  • France
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Mexico
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom
  • United States
  • New Zealand

This does now mean that the other countries originally getting the console in 2013 will be waiting, but Microsoft do try to ensure us that they will see it as soon as possible in 2014. So Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland unfortunately you’re going to have to wait.

How do you feel about the change to the launch countries for Xbox One? In one of the effected countries who are now going to have to wait? Let us know in the comments.
