PES 2014 Will Feature Fully Licensed Argentinian Teams

Fans of Argentinian football will be pleased to learn today that Konami has announced that their upcoming football game Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 will feature 20 teams from the Argentinian Football Association’s Primera División. The deal also includes the appearance of local sports announcers Mariano Closs and Fernando Niembro, who will be lending their voices to the game for match commentary. The full list of AFA Primera División teams is as follows:

  • Estudiantes
  • Gimnasia y Esgrima

  • Quilmes
  • Racing
  • River Plate
  • Rosario Central
  • San Lorenzo
  • Tigre
  • Vélez Sarsfield

The game is being developed using the FOX engine from Kojima Productions, which is most famously being used currently to create Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for next gen consoles. The game is being touted by Konami as a fresh new start for the series, which is FIFA’s biggest competitor in the football-game market. What do you think?
