Fans have been calling for details on the Bioshock Infinite DLC since the games release in March. After much teasing and waiting Irrational Games have announced not one, not two, but three add-ons.
First up is Bioshock Infinite: Clash in the Clouds, an arena style series of challenges pitting Booker against Columbia’s worst men and monsters. With 60 “Blue ribbon challenges”, dedicated players who beat them all will gain access to “The Columbian Archeological Society”, a form of in-game museum full of new voxophones and statues to admire. Online leaderboards are also included to pit yourself against infinite Bookers.
The Clash in the Clouds pack is out today for £3.69 or 400 Microsoft points and is is included in the season pass.
The second and third add-ons are a two part story-based adventure taking place in Rapture. Named Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea, once again focuses on an older Elizabeth and Booker as they explore the underwater city of Rapture before the fall of Andrew Ryan. With most of the world being built from scratch, it is sure to excite fans of the original two games as well as those who want more of Infinite. Check out the trailer below:
Both parts will cost £9.99, or 1200 Microsoft points, each and are included in the season pass. This two-parter will be released before the end of the year.
The second part of Burial at Sea as described as “Elizabeth as she seeks to bring closure to her story, and to BioShock Infinite’s“. That sounds an awful lot like a conclusion, but what surprises will it bring? Only time will tell.
Ken Levine, creative director at Irrational Games, stated “We are really excited to offer our fans the content that they have been asking for,”. He goes on to say “With the Burial at Sea episodes, we are building a Rapture-based narrative experience that is almost entirely built from scratch.“
