It seems that somehow Volition was able to make Saints Row IV more insane than the last one. While it is unknown whether this makes for a better game as of yet, we only have till next month to find out.

After it being announced that after this game the Saints Row series will be going in a “new direction”, it may be worth soaking it all in just in case the worst happens and it starts taking itself all too seriously. I don’t think the world is ready for a hardcore realistic gang simulator. The first Saints Row game got a little too close to that line already.

Saints Row IV will be out on PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows August 20 in NA and 23 in the EU.
