Atlus To Be Sold as Parent Company Hits Bankruptcy

Bloomberg states that Index Corporation is facing stock market delisting on July 28th, causing them to have to bid off subsidiary parts of the company such as Atlus. Bidding starts next week and total sales of the Corporation’s assets are expected to earn around $149 million.

Atlus is responsible for titles such as the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series and have in the past provided the market interesting titles such as 2012’s Catherine.

It is always sad when a Developer faces hard times such as Bankruptcy. With no word as to which companies may be interested in purchasing Atlus, here is hoping that they find a good home and continue to create more games for us to play for years to come.
