Oddworld Inhabitants Searching For New ‘n’ Tasty Voices

Hello…Follow me…Wait…Think you have what it takes to be a Mudokon? Required skills include being able to say hello, okay and nuh-uh. Oddworld Inhabitants, the team behind the new the forthcoming Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty are searching for fans to provide voices for natives and workers in the game. Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is a from-the-ground-up re-creation of the classic Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee.

There are over 100 Mudokons in the game that need voices and although some have already been done by the members of Oddworld and Just Add Water, many more are still available and waiting for talented fans. Celebrity gamers are also welcome (Keith David, if you’re reading this, we need a sexy smooth voiced Mudokon asap).

With this search for voices, quality is of paramount importance. As such, Oddworld Inhabitants make no guarantee any submissions will make it into the game (sorry Nolan North). But any that do make the cut will not only be immortalized forever in digital form (as a weird three fingered alien janitor), they will also be able to proudly show off their name in the end credits.

The deadline for entries is Friday 26 July, 2013 and full details on how to submit and the requirements are available on the website.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is out on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita at the end of 2013, with PlayStation 4, Linux, OS X, Windows and Wii U versions in 2014. Xbox and Xbox One gamers will have to wait for now due to Microsoft’s policy of requiring developers to have a publisher rather than self publishing.
