Shin Megami Tensei IV is now ready to purchase and download in the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS. Shin Megami Tensei IV is a 3DS exclusive and players take on the role of Samurai protector of the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado.
If you like your limited edition games then for a limited time the first print of the game will include a limited edition box set, in this set you will get;
- The Game
- Collectible Slipcase
- 76-page Strategy & Design Book
- Shin Megami Tensei Music Collection CD
Both versions of the game retail and digital will cost $49.99
If you are in the US and you buy Shin Megami Tensei IV and Fire Emblem on your Nintendo Club Account you can get a code for $30 credit to redeem on the Nintendo eShop. Both versions of each game are eligible for this offer but it seems you must be in the US or Canada at the moment and register both games on your Club Nintendo account by August 31, 2013. There is also plan to have a variety of in-game items that will be available as Add-On Content (AOC) at launch, they are:
- Three custom looks will be available for the protagonist to alter his look by changing hairstyles. These AOC items will be permanently free for anyone to download.
- There will be a beneficial armour item free for the first month. The White Samurai Apparel offers a little bonus to stats in the early stages of the game, and will help players new to the franchise keep the upper hand. The armor will be available for free for the first month after launch. After the first month, the price of the armour set will revert to $0.99 permanently.
- There will also be a map pack available at launch to help players gain more experience. Suitable for the early stages of the game, the AOC will help players gain extra experience to boost their characters’ stats, as well as granting a collectible demon, exclusive to the AOC. The map pack will be $1.99 at launch.
