Double Helix, the developers behind the new Killer Instinct title, were at EVO 2013 showcasing some new content for the game. Whilst at the event however they were not expecting to be booed so heavily when they mentioned the Xbox One.
Representatives from Mad Catz and Double Helix were on stage of the event to show that there was an exclusive fight stick being made for the upcoming title. However as the Xbox One was named, many of the people watching the show began to boo.
Although the fighting game content shown at the event went down really well, the fact that it was an exclusive for Microsoft’s Next-Gen console really seemed to get on the nerves of a lot of fans. As the show was being live streamed, people were posting comments such as “Xbox Off! Xbox Off!” and “When is this launching on PC?”.
Could this be a blow to the Killer Instinct game? If this happens at one of the biggest gaming events of the year, then what can we expect to happen in the coming months prior to the Xbox One’s release? Could we see Double Helix make a decision to release the game for PS4 or even PC alongside the Xbox One? Only time will tell.
