Microsoft has revealed that they are breaking tradition and are not including a headset with the console instead Microsoft are pushing Kinect’s microphone features saying:

“(The Kinect has) highly sensitive multi-array microphones designed to enable voice inputs and chat as a system-level capability, both in-game and with Skype and other experiences.”

So if you still are planning to buy an Xbox One then you are going to have to fork out for a headset separately!
