As series veterans will know, Geralt the witcher is rarely phased by anything. Rarely batting an eyelid killing both bandits and horrible monstrosities, CD Project RED makes the world a gritty place filled with murky shades of grey. 

Six new screenshots show all facets of this world. From a peaceful village to partially rotting creatures, it seems The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be an interesting place to explore. If it is anything like the last two games it will also be a difficult place to survive in.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be out next year on Windows, PS4 and Xbox One.
