Castlevania Lords of Shadow was presented during the Konami E3 Pre-show. The game will be taking place straight after Lords of Shadow 1. The new game is also said to contain a much darker and cruel story.

Enemies in Lords of Shadow 2 will be bigger, and have shields that will need to be taken down in order to defeat them. A major thing that Mercury Steam wanted to bring in was the ability to have Dracula, the main character, explore the world freely. The aim is to have open world exploration to allow players have freedom rather than a level structure similar to Lords of Shadow 1. The castle will still be present in the game, with most of the game taking place within it, but players will be able to take Dracula to explore the modern world setting too.

The game will be available this winter and will be coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
