Zen Studios, the definitive leader in videogame pinball, today announced that Pinball FX2 is coming to Steam on May 10th, 2013 as a free platform download for all users. Pinball FX2 is releasing with a huge lineup of in-app DLC including tables from the hugely popular Star Wars Pinball and Marvel Pinball series, as well as a selection of Zen Studios original pinball creations.
The following pinball packs will be available for Pinball FX2 on Steam at launch for $9.99 each:

- Marvel Pinball™
- Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue™
- Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles™
- Pinball FX2™ Core Collection
- Zen Classics™
This is a pretty cool model to adopt for a game like this. Release the core game for free to give people a chance to try it, then once they’re hooked offer them Star Wars and Marvel DLC. But is there enough of a market on Steam for this kind of game? Only time will tell.
