Metal Gear Solid: Legacy Collection Officially Confirmed and Dated

A few days ago we ran a story on the Metal Gear Solid: Legacy Collection that appeared on the Korean Rating Board. Konami have now officially confirmed this to be true and the collection will be heading our way this year. Fans will now be able to have all the numbered Metal Gear games, up to and including Metal Gear Solid 4, all in one package.

The Metal Gear Solid: Legacy Collection will feature 8 games, as well as graphic novels from Ashley Wood. Here is the list of games that will be available in this collection;

Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD)
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (HD)
Metal Gear Solid VR Missions
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots: Trophy Edition”
Ashley Wood’s “Metal Gear” graphic novels

“We wanted to give Metal Gear Solid fans the opportunity to experience the series from beginning to end, all on one console,” said Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “With the collection’s multiple titles, players can truly see how Metal Gear Solid evolved into the critically acclaimed and beloved franchise it is today.”

This Legacy Collection will be available only for PS3 and will release in June 2013 in North America. No date has been confirmed so far for Europe.
