Wii U Spring System Update

Nintendo Direct released today more information concerning the Wii U Spring System Update. The update is going to do some ‘Spring Cleaning’ around the Wii U as well as introduces some new things for players to enjoy.
First off the loading times between applications on the Wii U has been decreased dramatically so you can jump from one app to another in a matter of moments.

The second is a new ability to move & copy content from your Wii U onto other hard drives so you can store and back up your games saves and valuables.
Third on the list is the ability to download games and updates on the fly whilst you are in game as well as the ability to download and install games whilst the Wii U is turned off, so that when you next wake up everything will be waiting for you.

Virtual Console has also been revealed to be released after the update. The virtual console brings a series of classic Nintendo titles back into the current generation with full functionality on the Wii U game pad. Check out this trailer showcasing some of the games to be released:

Finally was the reveal of the Wii U Panorama View that allows you to explore some of the biggest and best places of the world in full panoramic view. This will be available after the update and will allow explorers to purchase adventures separately for £1.79 each. A free demo is available now on the Nintendo eShop.
