Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment unveils Infinite Crisis

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have announced an all-new multiplayer online battle arena game (which is being developed by Turbine) called Infinite Crisis. This free-to-play game features a roster of DC comics characters for you to play as.

Infinite Crisis delves into the heart of player vs player experiences and delivers an adrenaline pumping experience set in the DC Multiverse – a world where familiar DC characters have been re-imagined in startling ways. It features a variety of DC heroes and villains and puts you in control of your favourite, re-imagined characters such as Nightmare Batman and Gaslight Catwoman, as well as classic favourites such as the Green Lantern and The Flash.

In fact you can check out two character profile videos below (one of Nightmare Batman and the other of Wonder Woman) to give you a bit of an idea what the game is about and what the differences between some of the characters are.

This multiplayer online battle arena game is currently giving you the chance to be in the beta as well. All you need to do is head to the Infinite Crisis website where you can sign up to participate. It’s really that simple.

“We are thrilled to bring Infinite Crisis, a truly competitive experience featuring the DC Comics lore and characters, to the MOBA genre” said Martin Tremblay, President at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Turbine is a pioneer in online gaming and combined with the amazing world of DC comics, they are executing on a game concept that expands the MOBA genre.”

Infinite Crisis is scheduled for release on the PC in September 2013 (hopefully we’ll hear a more definitive release date soon).

For more information make sure you check out the Infinite Crisis website. Are you looking forward to the game, or maybe you’re planning on signing up for the beta? Let us know with a comment!
