BlizzCon Tickets go on sale end of April

Blizzard Entertainment have today announced that tickets for the seventh BlizzCon gaming convention will go on sale in two batches on 24th April and 27th April. As well as these, tickets to an exclusive pre-BlizzCon dinner to benefit Children’s Hospital of Orange County will go on sale 1st May

For those who don’t already know, BlizzCon is a celebration of everything Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo related which will be making its way to the Anaheim Convention Centre this November 8th and 9th. The two day community gathering features in-depth discussion panels with Blizzard developers, hands-on play time with the latest Blizzard games, and tons of other exciting events and activities.

BlizzCon 2013 will also be holding the StarCraft II World Championship Series Global Finals, a high-stake showndown where the top Starcraft II players in the world battle for the right to be crowned the World Champion.

“We love having the opportunity to hang out with our players at BlizzCon, and it’s always awesome to see the greatest gaming community on earth swarm Anaheim” says Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “We look forward to delivering two full days of gaming, activities and other entertainment, and we can’t wait to show some of the exciting projects we’ve been working on.”

Could this mean that Blizzard’s latest game, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, could be making an appearance?

Tickets for the convention will be priced at $175/£115.15 and will be available to buy from the Official BlizzCon website. The first batch will go on sale Wednesday 24th April at 7PM (Pacific Time) and the second batch will be live Saturday 27th April at 10AM (Pacific Time).

Also if you’re interested in the tickets for the BlizzCon Benefit Dinner, which includes admission to BlizzCon, these will be priced at $500/£329.01. All proceeds from the dinner are going to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and will take place on the evening of 7th November. Better hurry if you want these tickets though: it’s your chance to eat, drink and chat it up with the Blizzard developers, and there are only 200 tickest actually available when they go on sale.

As the event draws closer more details will be posted on the BlizzCon website and we’ll keep you up to date with anything announced. Planning on going to the Blizzard convention? Let us know in the comments.
