At E3 2012 Lucas Arts impressed the gaming world with their upcoming game; Star Wars 1313. The game looked liked it would be visually pleasing and the story like looked like it could be a refreshingly well written one, after the dissapointments of The Old Republic and the Star Wars prequels. 

However a rumor recently arose on Kotaku.com that the game is currently on hold due to Disney’s purchase of Lucas Arts late last year. The rumors say that the hold could potentially push the game’s release to next year, with Lucas Arts not giving away any info, other than being quoted to say “Star Wars 1313 continues production.”

This is good news with a pinch of salt for Star Wars fans. The game being put on hold means that the developers have more time to polish the game fully and give a great game come release day. It also means waiting around for the game to be taken off hold and back into full development swing. Star Wars fans wait with baited breath for the sequel trilogy of movies and now the release of Star Wars 1313, there is certainly a lot to look forward to but also a lot of potential for major let downs.
