In February, things get started with releases to tickle the fancy of all kinds of gamers. With the new Oscar-nominated Disney film Wreck-It Ralph finally now in UK cinemas, what better way to expand on it than with the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL game that picks up right after the events of the movie? If you’re looking for a racing game, this is the month where two of them arrive so you’ll have a tough choice on your hands. The first features high-octane drama and carnage in Crash City Mayhem, while the second sees the return of some familiar faces in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
Last year was massive for the handheld console in terms of puzzles and brain teasers, with the latest entry in the range of Professor Layton games hitting shelves towards the end of 2013. The Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL have become pretty synonymous with these types of releases and in March we get a few more that could appeal to fans. There’s Puzzler World 2013, which features over 1,200 teasers and bonus brain games and will be suitable for players of all ages, but there are also a couple of games aimed a bit more at mature audiences. Mystery Murders: Jack the Ripper and Midnight Mysteries: The Devil on the Mississippi will both test your deduction and detection abilities; just make sure you’re not of a nervous disposition before you play!
Of course, it doesn’t end there. There are big titles throughout the spring calendar with all sorts of platform, puzzle, action, arcade and party games in the works for all of Nintendo’s home and handheld consoles. In fact, whether you’re a Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL or Wii U gamer, you’ll be pretty well catered for in 2013!
