January 21st – the day that the second half of Spartan Ops Season One will make an appearance on all our Xbox consoles. 343 Industries and Microsoft have announced five weeks of brand-new content, from January 21st through to February 24th, returning Spartans to the episodic battle against the Prometheans and Covenant.

Fireteam Crimson are searching for Spartan Thorne on Planet Requiem and come face to face with the threat of Jul ‘Mdama and his colt of Covenant separatists. The battle moves past Requiem to a variety of locations, fighting Promethean and Covenant forces alike.

Episode 5 saw secrets being revealed, trusts being betrayed and an Ultimate plan near success as the Spartans attempted to rescue one of their own. Have a look at the new trailer below to recap on the action before Episode 6 throws you directly into the fray, complete with plenty of plasma explosions and vehicular madness.

343 Industries have promised to mix things up a little bit with plenty of new and unexpected ways to kill yourself some Covenant. Spartan Ops are free to play and will be available to download in 2 days, so make sure you’ve got your copy of Halo 4 at the ready.
