National Rifle Association Blames a 10 Year Old Flash Game For Connecticut Shootings

At a recent talk, the Vice President of the National Rifle Association, Wayne LaPierre, blamed “vicious, violent video games, with names like Bulletstorm, Grand Theft Auto, Mortal Kombat and Splatterhouse” for the recent school shootings.

Things got even worse when he presented his ultimate proof, a ten year old flash game called “Kindergarten Killer”. This game has been online for a long time and has gained some notoriety in 2008 when a Finnish game site pulled it down after a school shooting in the country. LaPierre cited that “There exists in this country, sadly, a callous, corrupt and corrupting shadow industry that sells and stows violence against its own people” using the above mentioned games as “proof” of this bold statement.

“Isn’t fantasizing about killing people as a way to get your kicks really the filthiest form of pornography?” he continued to say.

It was obvious that the NRA was not going to admit that having guns could be bad but to bring the hammer down on video games and in such a bizarre way is just ridiculous!

But what do you think? Are video games really this big a threat? Or are they being used as a scapegoat? Let us know in the comments below!
