Christian Svensson, SVP of Consumer Software at Capcom USA said

“Our fans have been so supportive of the 25th Anniversary efforts on Street Fighter, that we wanted to provide one last surprise and token of our appreciation,”

“This game symbolizes the passion and dedication of our fans and with the 25th Anniversary of Mega Man coming up, we felt it was our duty to bring this wonderful experience to everyone who has shared the last 25 years with us and both of these celebrated franchises.”

The new game was created and developed by Singapore studio Seow Zong Hui (Sonic) with the direction from Capcom. The game is set to star the blue man himself Mega Man with 8 themed levels and bosses from the original Street Fighter series. Each boss will require a complete different set of strategies to win and the bosses will have their own special moves to use against Mega Man all wrapped in a beautiful 8 bit world.

In addition to the retro look and feel that embodies Street Fighter X Mega Man, an original soundtrack created by Luke Esquivel (aka “A_Rival”) provides a classic backdrop to the action. Amazing mash-ups of memorable Street Fighter and Mega Man® themes complete the crossover of the century!

It is nice to see that Capcom have done something for the fans and given them a special FREE treat to celebrate the success of two of their most popular games. How the game is only time will tell when it is officially released. Stay tuned for our verdict on the game.
