Dark Horse Comics has announced that its partnering with Team NINJA and Keiji Inafune, the developers of Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, to create a Digital Comic series.

The comic will feature three stories, written by Tim Seeley, and Josh Eamons, and includes illustrations from Rafael Ortiz.

These three comics will be available for free from the Dark Horse Digital Store, or on the official Dark Horse Comics app for iOS and Android.

When Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z launches in 2014, an all-new full-color print comic will also be released. We can probably assume that red will be featured heavily, given how gory the game is.

Yaibia: Ninja Gaiden Z casts players as Yaiba, a ninja who was killed by series protagonist Ryu Hayabusa, but resurrected as a cyborg. Yaiba will use his new robo-arm to slice and dice scores of the undead in this 3rd person action game from Team NINJA and Keiji Inafune.
