The Kinect for the Xbox One will have a nifty little feature; the ability to scan QR codes. This neat little feature will replace having to type in those annoying download codes. This was confirmed by Marc Whitten, the Xbox Chief Product Officer, via Twitter.

Whitten posted this tweet in response to an image that was found on Reddit which asked for the use of QR scanning if the Kinect was to be a necessity.

Now that typing in codes is a thing of the past thanks to Xbox One, what does everybody think about this? Does this make up for having to have Kinect at all? Let us know with a comment.
