Today I voice more of my opinions on Virgil’s story. Although the character is brilliant to play as with his unique weapon set and damage gauge, the story itself is just lack lustre. Apart from the excellent intro scene that sets up his reason for being in the city a decade before the events of DMC4, there is just no other development. No reason for him to fight the bosses, no reason for him to defeat the Saviour and no reason for him to save the day when he has the persona of an anti-hero. Maybe Lady & Trish’s will shed more light on the new content.
